Concrete posts and gravel boards (plinths) are the backbone of a long-lasting fence installation. Concrete posts eliminate the most common cause of fence failure — rotting posts — and provide a rock-solid base for wooden or composite panels. We can also upgrade existing wooden post installations to concrete posts without replacing the panels.

Common Questions
Should I choose concrete or wooden posts?
Concrete posts are more expensive upfront but will outlast wooden posts significantly. We always recommend concrete posts for new installations — the additional cost is small relative to the total job, and you won't need to replace posts in 10 years.
What is a gravel board / plinth?
A gravel board (or plinth) is a concrete or treated timber board fitted at the base of a fence between the posts, sitting on the ground. It protects the bottom of fence panels from soil moisture and ground rot, dramatically extending the life of a timber fence.
Can you replace just the posts without replacing the whole fence?
Often yes — if your fence panels are still in good condition but the posts have rotted, we can replace the posts (upgrading to concrete if you wish) while retaining the existing panels. This is a cost-effective repair option.
